a few days ago I woke uP & turned on the news. maybe around 6:30
it was 77°. (on its way into the 90's)
then right before I went to bed that night I turned on the local
weather channel, yup it was back down to 77°
p.s. the reason I thought of that is that I currently have 77 deleted items in Outlook.

After picking up something at the store this morning, I checked the temp at a nearby bank. Yep, you guessed it--77.

currently 97, here in Springfield USA.
What's sad, is that my dream destination, Bocas Del Toro, Panama, is only 88 degrees, right now. Yet another reason to move to Panama!!!

Jim,
I was at most of the "battle of the bands" competitions from '87 - 91, & saw "Inside Out" What band were you IN ?

I saw them many many times in the early 90's at the new union.
FYI one of the former Perry and the Poor Boys Drummers is now with
one of my favorite local bands Romantica at a show some weeks ago he saw my DA - SA shirt
and told me he likes the Lost Dogs & had recorded with Mike Roe on a Perry and the Poor Boys album

I was in a band called "Sanctifier" (I am now embarassed by the blatantly "Christianese" name of this band). The lead singer/songwriter had written some decent tunes, though I don't think the music was anything too special (straight-ahead blues/rock was the style). I was a 19-year old college student - I did some of the rhythm and all of the lead guitar. We played in two of the rounds and were pretty quickly and summarily dismissed from the competition. Shortly after that, we disbanded for various reasons (mine was college). Oh well - it was fun while it lasted...

Thanks - you may be right - it may actually have been both shows in which Perry and the Poor Boys opened up for them. I remember the second one especially though, since they dubbed themselves the "88's" - that was to "subtly" promote the upcoming 77's CD of the same name. Pretty cool about the drummer in the local band seeing your shirt and commenting on the Lost Dogs and having worked with Mike Roe. I don't think it was "Deep Blue Sea", was it? That is a great Roe-produced album. Mike also was all over this with guitar and vocals too. I have to pull this one out of the archives again, as it's been awhile since I listened to it. I will check out Romantica too...

On a whim, I tried to google my old band's name and came across a Brazilian death metal band that goes by that name (they can have it). The Holy Spirit is the Sanctifier and I would never use that for a band name again (it wasn't my idea to begin with). Anyways, found it interesting that a death metal band that appears to be all about evil has that name.
Anyway, back to what this thread is supposed to be about : it was a partly cloudy 77 degrees here in NJ this afternoon - a great Friday.
