Do the Sevens/Mike ever sing Lost Dogs songs in concert?
I would love to hear "Lovely Man" live. It's probably my favorite Lost Dogs song. I love the vocals and the guitar solo and the lyrics and the melody. It's a great song.

I believe that song was done at the Mike & Mark concert in Springfield, MO when they did their duo tour a few years ago. I think a recording was circulated too, but I need some other board members to help me out on that info. Mike introduced it saying its a song "mired in controversy".

What is the controversy about "Lovely Man"?
Is that why the song is untitled on the iTunes store?

I don't know how I came up with the phrase 'right by damn', but I did and it fit and I would not agree to change it. Tooth & Nail refused to put it out that way so not only did they edit it out, they fucked up the running order of the album only to feature two songs back to back that sounded alike! I get very angry every time I think about this .... one day we will restore this album to its former glory if we get Brandon's claws off it.
The original version of "Lovely Man" is available on a Paste Sampler CD from that period -- not sure which ish ~~

I didn't know all that - that's interesting. But we have noticed about the two songs that sound so much alike. My kids love the Three Legged Dog song and they've commented about it before.

Thanks. Just found it under the avatar section under the User CP you can click on above. I don't know if this is a true photo of something 'manufactured', but I honestly remember seeing a roadsign much like this in the early 90's outside of Kansas City, MO. It was definately 'Exit 77' for 'Roe Ave.' To this day I wish I had pulled over to take a picture!

And a great show it was!!! I had the pleasure of hosting Mike & Mark for that one, and had dinner with them afterwards. Jr88 and Marti went too. I can't remember if Rob 3.0 went with us or not.

Yes, and Mark was kind enough to offer to let me try a pot sticker. I had never eaten one of those before. LOL.
I still need to get in touch with jeffrey k, order my copy of HGB, and have him send my loaned Dunlop slide back to me, from the last time I had Mike come to town. I totally missed when the Dogs blasted thru Springtown.

Yeah, I spent most the time chatting with Mark, he was the one that gave me some Ebow tips and actually the one who inspired me to buy one.

Man, I might start some jealousy issues now.
There's a marketing idea for you though-Andy Kaufman had "Breakfast with Blassie", now there could be the DVD releases 'Meals with Mike", "Dinner with Derri" and "Treats with Terry" (OK, I'm streaching it on the last title there)!

Wow....I was wondering why that song ended up a hidden track. It's my favorite from that disc.
