I remember my Mom buying the Elvis Blue Vinyl "Moody Blue " album. 
She had some 78's too, think they may still be around most of them anyway. All this talk is making me want to dig all the old records out.

I do like the rawness, stripped down type of rock stuff from the 50s. The sound was powerful enough even wthout all the fluff later added on in music of the 70s, 80s and 90s. Thats what people like Sam Phillips recognised, the undercurrent raw edgy power of being real. These classic sounds and songs still hold up today because they were created from deep within, filled with elemental spirit and soul.
