7&7is Box Set for sale on eBay |
|
Hello 77's Fans -
I have placed my copy of the 1989 7&7is box set up for sale on eBay today.
I ahve seen this very same box set (NOT the 1-2-3 set) for sale on Amazon.com for $299.99 and also saw one sold on this site for $40.00 - I'm hoping to do somewhere in the middle of that. Starting bid is $30. Check it out!!!

I actually have a copy of that cassette. I bought it at a Half Price Books store thinking I was buying the whole "More Miserable" cassette. Then I looked at the songs and said "wtf?"
I wasn't familiar with the box set at that time. In fact, I didn't realize I had a piece of the box set until way later. I was surprised cause I thought I knew everything about what the 77s have released. But I sadly realized that I'm not as hardcore as I thought. *hangs head*

thanks for the (nice?) help |
|
Thank all the members of this thread for their "very nice" help on pricing my eBay auction of the 7&7is box set. I could feel the christian love through me screen.
FYI - no price guide exisits so I took a guess based on the two I'd seen forsale one for $299.99 - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/offer-l...ref=olp_tab_all
//102-9830285-8126543?condition=all
which does contain the "more miserable.." CD as well, and another for $40 ish.
Nice to know that the last one went for $47 (honest thanks for that help). I didn't have much to work with so I took a guess - in hindsight I should have stayed on this board for six months night and day (like a few of you do from the looks of things - 4 out of 11 replies from Dennis?) and gotten a better idea of the price.
Just because I put the BIN button at $250.00 don't mean you can't get it for less - so if you don't have one maybe you should take a crack at it.
I will let this sale continue (esp. since one person stated $75-100) if it dosn't sell Ill let you know when it re-lists.

Topic for another thread - what does it say about how much you value the music of The 77's/Mike Roe that the rarest of their music is only seen to be worth $40.00 - 50.00? In that case, I would guess that it maybe doubled in price since it came out 16 years ago? I'm no collectables expert, but I'd say that's pretty slow growth / low value placed on it. Just something to talk about.

Yeah bud, $250 is a bit steep.
That would go for $75-100, but probably not more. Definately not through Buy-It-Now.

I recently purchased mine for $40. I know of at least two that sold on ebay in the last few months that both sold for less than $70. This guy is a dreamer.
I have rated this thread accordingly.

If this guy actually finds someone dumb enough to hit the BIN button on this auction, he should send at least half of the $250 ro Mr. Roe.

You send the cash and Mike Roe will be $125 richer - good idea.

I only suggest this to since you are trying to take advantage of some poor sap who might buy this, then the least you could do is send some of the blood money to its rightful place.
