Are these going to be required at the big get-together in Springfield? We're going to have to wear them on top of whatever else, or who'd know.

I think that they will be all we are allowed to wear. Of course some of us could wear two pair

This song was written in a state of complete emotional despair and panic around 3 am in Cornwall, England sometime in the fall of 1994. Having been 'dumped' by my girlfriend of two years earlier that summer, she summoned me to come visit her at her art school in Norwich (closer to London) during the fall, having had a supposed 'change of heart'.
Like a fool, I believed her and booked a 77's gig in Denmark in order to afford the trip over. The guys couldn't make the gig but the Prayer Chain were also on the bill and agreed to stand in for the 77's for me -- the only time this has happened (if you don't count the rather shambolic appearance of the Trophy Wives in Wisconsin three summers back!).
Anyway, I called the girlfriend from Denmark in order to confirm our plans. Predictably, she promptly told me to 'fuck off' after having already replaced me again with some young art college goon. Naturally upset, I fled to the southernmost tip of England to recover at a friend's house. There, I came up with "Hold Dearly" right when I was about to lose it completely and go right over the edge. The train ride back to London delivered "I Want Never Gets" and probably "You Leave Me Homeless", with "Ache Beautiful" arriving while climbing above Heathrow over the English channel. Upon arrival home, "Go With God But Go" was waiting, along with the others.
When the album was complete, I popped it in a mailer and sent it off to Norwich.
As expected, she did not give a damn, and 'congratulated' me on a 'job well done in my artistic journey'.
I suppose it could have been worse.

Thanks Doctor, I love the insights. That is so cool (in a sad sort of way).
What I can't imagine is anyone dumping the Doctor.
I even find him a little sexy

I actually thought about this yesterday until I went to prayer. I've seen that edge you hang off of when someone sets you aside.
Thank God for the journey of discovery He takes us on to find our worth is not in people's opinions.

I was at that concert in Wisconsin. I thought it was the best thing I'd ever seen. The Swirling Eddies with Mike Roe and Mike Stand was also a treat.

At least I don't use two-character alpha-numerical terms and rub it in with the poor guy....

Carl, are you sure that it was Alex who frightened the doctor?
i secretly agree with Michael's alarming revelation, but i would never let that be known.
