Dang, girl--I'm glad we prayed! That's quite the stack of near-disasters.
I'm glad that it went as well as it did.

well it is nine days since the show... it still seems surreal.
An amazing time to be with all the board fans (eleanor excluded); great fans and two fantastic bands.
The band seemed to THOROUGHLY enjoy themselves... you know when the band enjoys playing... well it makes it fantastic for the FANS!!!
Highlights... true standout moments:
Saving Faded Dreams - That was SWEET!!
Kites (Sad Roy) - WOW what a performance!!! Mikes' outro solo was so lovely.
Bottom Line - hearing that in concert was a REAL TREAT! (also in that category - You Walked In The Room - the crowd did a great job as back up singers!!!)
Nobody's Fault - Bruce was OUTRAGEOUS - played it great!
Dave's Blues - the roof came off - smiles everywhere...
The sound was fantastic at the hall - one of the only concerts with Mike and Co. where I didn't hear Mikes' trademark statement - "You Can't Land that here!!"
So, would I do it again - fly from VA to OR for a three hour concert... yes.
will I be able to do it again... it will have to wait a couple years probably.

I think you will fit in well around Here, there is a lot of give & take...
I think it is your turn to give
|
Well I could give the 3 Strawman songs I recorded at WOW if I knew a place to put them up on.
They're Talk to Me
Deep End
Hard To Say
I had bought a little dig voice recorder that day and just for the heck of it I pointed it at the band. It ain't no Steve Johnson lap-top but it gives you an idea of how the band sounds. If you were'nt, unfortunately, there that is.

Are we ever going to hear anything about the possible DVD of this show or at least a boot of the audio?

I have no new information, but this is what I do know.
Steve has everything and is putting it together. Mike, et al, needs to review it, mix it, and give the okay. Mike and Mark have been busy with the new album and touring, so they've been too busy to deal with the DVD. Then there's going to be the holidays with another weekend tour for Mike in December.
I'm just guessing, but I'm thinking that nobody's going to get to this before at least the beginning of 2005 and then it's going to take some time.
Patience is needed here. Me, included!!

Thanks Linda. As with all 77s things I try to excercise patience, but I would really love to at least hear that show again. If someone were to somehow grant me a recording of that show, I would promise not to share.

I am going on the record right here and now.
DO NOT EVEN ASK ME!!!
(for at least another two years, if it's not out by then I may be able to help you out)
If it all turns out, it will be worth the wait.
