If there is anyone else on the board planning to come to the Aurora show, you really need to buy your tickets in advance. We can't sell at the door, so if you are planning to come, buy soon....

jeffrey,
a buddy of mine might come....how many tickets are left? He won't know until Thursday afternoon and has to wait to buy them then. |
Well...right now there are 17 tickets left. The problem is I have several emails from people saying they want to buy tickets and just haven't yet. Why everyone is waiting is sort of an issue here. We will stop selling tickets at 12pm on Thursday as I have to leave to go to the venue and can't deal with tickets after that.....and if everyone who claims they want tickets buys them, the 17 that remain won't be enough. So I am encouraging people who want to come to buy now because if it sells out, you are s-o-a....

i was gonna say that

Asynchrony sounds like it should refer to the state of being out of synchronization, so maybe others have that impression as well.
As to the latter, I dubbed that "sesquipedalian legerdemain" in college.

asynchronous and asynchronously are words, just not asynchrony, and yeah you're right, they mean to not be synchronized.

That particular clip looks more like SIAT (as in 'got my Spandex in a Twist').

I left Laurie a message, so I'll have Joel call you or let you know what they're doing after I talk with her.

I talked with Laurie - Samantha for sure can't go, but she didn't know about Joel. He may be working in Chicago on Friday, and if that's the case he may go and just stay in the area overnight. Otherwise, probably not since he has to be up for work at ungodly times in the morning. I passed on the info about the tickets though.

10 minutes? We have to discuss this, Squid.
Part of the whole 77s fan experience is driving until OPEC sends you love notes. It's sort of like being in the Marines--if you're not sweating, screaming, and passing out, you look like you don't have your heart fully into the effort.
My suggestion would be to drive up to the Canadian border, get you passport stamped, and THEN come to the show. You'll not only have burned some fuel, but you will have crossed an international border!

It was a poor choice of words about words on my part--sorry about that, Cindy! What I meant to say is that words come into usage when enough people construct the same word from the same parts and it catches on.
welcome to etymology class! Where's evangiGurbax when you need him?
Anyway--everybody have a good time in IL the next few days.
Bring your dictionaries along to read on the road trip.
