Would The 77s offering their music on SoulSeek decrease their sales appreciably?

Anyone remember the days of Keith Green offering his albums for "whatever you can afford"? Man, dem were da days! Righteous dude dat!

Honestly? No. All that was before my time. I do remember seeing his albums for sale in Christian bookstores though, and they always had price tags on them, the same as everything else.

There's some Keith Green doc that I watched a few years ago. Can't remember what it was called. It was about an hour long and pretty informative, but kind of made me like him a little less I think.

I remember the free one. Green was more than just making music in the sense that he was selling books, receiving donations, publishing tracks and newsletters. His music was one element of what he was doing. He was giving it away, but also asking for a donation to his ministry. In some ways he was like Rez Band---music and JPUSA, or even Servant. The music came from the community's larger ministry.
