  77s t-shirt

Hey all,

I have this old ratty 77s t-shirt that I need replaced, and have come here to see if this is in any way possible. It is the same one Mike is wearing here: http://www.hearthelight.com/77_GUARDIAN.htm

I figure it is a long shot, but I would love to replace it, so if anyone knows if there is a place that sells them....
It was green btw (pic is B&W)

Thanks

  RE: 77s t-shirt

I totally remember that show. We swapped our headlining set with Guardian so we could get the hell out of there early and not have to wait through their entire set and then to tear down afterwards. We love them and they rocked but we were beat and needed some rest. It was a great night and well attended.

The particular t-shirt you’re requesting is my personal favorite (and the most worn by me) of any of the t-shirts I/we have produced. I rarely (if ever) wear our shirts but this one I wore to death. I still have mine but I’m not sure I could part with it at this point, plus I’m sure you want a new one.

I will think about maybe reprinting this one as it was a good seller back in the day and looks great on just about anyone. Beyond that, have you looked at all our Cafe Press shirt offerings? Wonder if they have one like that one …..

I also would like one of these ripkickin' tees. The designs up-and-running at cafepress.com rule...but pale compare to this one IMO. Cool

Me too.

I got a Sticks and Stones shirt from Cafe Press recently and it wears pretty well. I think the best t-shirt I bought the past year was the Lost Dogs Old Angel shirt. It fits perfectly and I like the fabric.

Same here. Get two 3XLT's for me, please! Seriously, I'll pre-order.

I am glad so many people like this shirt! This is by far my favorite 77s t-shirt and possibly my favorite t-shirt ever. I would be down for 2 pre-orders for large.

I saw the Cafe Press shirts and they did not have the shirt I wanted. I kind of liked the self-titled album (not Pray Naked) and Safe as Milk shirt, but my heart is set on resurrecting my old ratty one. The Doctor is right- that shirt looks good on me Big Grin Plus it is just a cool shirt Wink

Thanks for all the quick replies!

I always wore the heck out of that one too.... I'm sure I still have it, but I doubt it aged well.

If we can get that image set up we could easily do a CafePress version.. unless Mike wants to print a regular shirt.

For now, that would probably do well on Cafe Press as I won’t be up for printing any solo shirts for awhile.

It would have to be redesigned for them but it’s not a difficult design. The elements are all available on the More Miserable Than You’ll Ever Be album and, as I recall, the color was either ‘moss green’ or ‘forest green’. It was darkish but not real dark.

Thanks Mike and everybody for making this happen Big Grin

I think the image might be slightly smaller than the old one... it won't let me make it any larger though. How does it look?

Posted by Doctor Love on 08-11-2011 at22:11:

That looks about right, although the white ones seem to be wider than the green one. The spread of the image on the white one is how I remember the original, but it could just be an illusion due to the darker color of the green. Actually, it’s the women’s shirt that it looks widest on. Maybe that’s ‘cuz the shirt is somewhat smaller?

Cool seeing the old 77s page logo and layout again ~~ Cool

Any chance of a "tall" 2X or 3X?

Posted by Ping Pong Over the Abyss on 08-12-2011 at16:02:

Ditto that. I'm a 2XL guy myself.

Hm.. might have to get a charcoal along with the army green rather than 2 army greens...

Just added some with the white image like Rod's photo... its listed as black on the page, but there are a couple of other darker colors to choose from.

I remember wearing this one to a show and Mike saying a greeny or somethinglike that! Of the original printing I think I bought one of the last ones because someone found some in the garage or something!

Hey, I have that shirt too...I've worn it nearly out, can't wear it away from home anymore, but its a favourite of mine too!

Posted by aladinsane on 09-03-2011 at07:16:

I got one in grey and one in green- the green one looks pretty much like the original. I am pretty darn happy to wear them!

Anyone else snag any?
