I have been reading in the OT all of this year, and I can say for the first time that I have truly gained a new grasp and appreciation for the OT like never before. God's Word is truly amazing and his sovereignty(sp?), and grace are sufficient.

One thing that I got from a special speaker at church was that we are not to base our view of God on the OT however. Cuz Jesus clearly states that We are to see God thru him and that is the only way to see God or get to him for that matter. The reason he pointed this out is that too many people have a view of God as this OT fire and brimstone God and really that is not God at all because GOD IS LOVE. Anyway there is a lot too that but that is the basic message of it and it really freed me up in alot of areas because of me viewing God throught the OT and not through Jesus.
