Upcoming 77's projects
Hold onto your hats! Exciting things are coming up, just in time for
your Christmas wish list.
Remember the 77's EP tour in 1999? Well, thanks to jeffrey k. at
Lo-Fidelity, we're getting ready to release an expanded version (almost
twice as much material!) of the live "99" tour CD that was given to
those who attended Doctor Love's solo concert earlier this month in
East Troy, WI. Mike was pleased with the results, so they went back
and added more tracks, and will have an official "99" ready to go in
just a few short weeks. Talk about a treat! Keep an eye out.
Last winter during the Roe vs. Pritzl tour there was a brief hiatus and
the two Michaels headed off to Nashville to record a number of their
favorite hits. Mixing is almost done and that CD will be released
soon. Wait until you hear it!
We were contacted last spring by Chameleon Stripe Ministries. They
have been busy making a film ("The House of Spiritual") to be
distributed to youth/young adult groups along with a companion workbook.
They wanted to include a few songs from the artists we all know and love, and one of the songs included in the soundtrack is "Ache Beautiful," one of
Mike Roe's most beautiful heart wrenching love songs from the "Safe as Milk" album. The film is now complete and will be in distribution shortly.

Next...we've all been waiting for the upcoming 77's album. It's almost
here! To quote Doctor Love's post on The 77's message board: "To
update you all, Mark and Bruce have about wrapped the Jimmy Pailer
album and we resume completing the new 77s album next week. There are still a coupla lead vocals to do plus all the background vocals and any last
minute 'production' overdubs that may come to mind, in addition to
maybe doing one or two 'backyard' acoustic numbers on the fly to round
out the record..... Everyone is going to love this record. That much I
can promise ~~"
We expect to send The 77's out on tour this next spring in support of
this highly anticipated release. If any of you are interested in
booking The 77's please contact us. You have no idea how much we rely
on you, the fans, for your support in booking and promoting concerts. We
are not in the regular CCM or mainstream loop, so without you, we are
nowhere! Professional promoters are few and far between. You are the
key. We will do our best to give you all the promotional helps you need to
pull off a show. Believe me when I say, it will be some of the most
fun you've ever had!
