  Covers

So, I thought my post about "Jimmy" would get a response. I was wrong. Undaunted I press on.
Has anyone compiled a list of songs the Lost Dogs have covered? and, Has anyone compiled a list of bands covering songs by the Lost Dogs? Likewise, the 77's, Daniel Amos, Adam Again, Swirling Eddies, Etc. The album "Mutt" is a great example of cover material. Although, the term cover misses a bit. Interpret maybe?

The Ocean Blue recorded the 77s "Renaissance Man"

The Boone Sisters recorded Daniel Amos' "Fathers Arms"
Deliverance recorded "Horrendous Disc"

And there is the Daniel Amos tribute CD full of a bunch of DA covers.

The Boone Sisters? Seriiously? That's like a reverse of the Swirling Eddies covering Amy Grant! Bizarro World. Hilarious.

The Deliverance cover was great, though.

Yeah the album was;

The Boones "First Class" (Lamb & Lion)

There was also an album like this;

Elisha "Elisha" (Lamb)
Elisha covers "Love In A Yielded Heart", "Don't Light Your Own Fire" and "Abidin"

And;

Jacob's Trouble "...Let The Truth Run Wild" (Frontline)
JT covers the DA classic, "Walls of Doubt".

And;

Deliverance "Learn" (Intense)
Deliverance covers "Sanctuary".

I'm surprised that I didn't see this one on the list...

77's:

'Nobody's Fault But Mine' - Blind Willie Johnson; Jimmy Page; Robert Plant

This is a fantastic cover tune. In fact, I think Doctor Love sounds so much better than Robert Plant that they should consider covering a few of their other tunes, preferably the older, less-played ones. Good times, bad times...I know I've had my share...
