A Certain Love
from the Lost Dogs album "Real Men Cry"
(Terry Taylor)

Capo 1

Intro: C F (x4)

C F C G
I took a drink of a long dark night,
C F C G
then drunk on doubt I cursed the light
Am F C G
But there's a certain love that I seem to recall,
C F G C
here when I rise, here when I fall.

C F C F

I had a dream but it fell apart,
a trusted friend who broke my heart.
But there's a certain love that I seem to recall,
here when I rise, here when I fall.

G F C
Dressed in rags and riches, it dances over fallen bridges
          G
Along the gutters and down the ditches,
       F G
across valleys and mountain ridges
        C
Certain love

C F C F

I built a house but the ground was sand,
the rains came down and it could not stand
But there's a certain love when you've lost it all,
here when we rise, here when we fall

F G Am F
It's a certain love that I seem to recall,
C F
here when I rise,
C F
here when we rise,
C F
here when I rise,
G C
here when we fall.

(Rising, Rising.)

  RE: A Certain Love

When macbeth and I played this recently I capoed my electric guitar to 4 and played in A.

This was following what I think Mike is doing in the Youtube live version of this (shot from a distance).

(Speaking as if we are in A) the riff seems to involve shifting between the c# and b notes on the b string during the A chord and then during the D chord moving from the d note to c# then b (still on the b string).

It worked for us anyway.

Another good tab for us. Any more in the works??? How about the chords for A Vegas Story? Or Rocky Mountain Mines?
