Ha ha, I love that photo. I've needed to update my web site for a long time but lacking the inclination to do so, I just substituted that picture.

I haven't touched base here since the concert because I was just physically and emotionally spent after putting everything together. It's a lot of work for negative pay! :-)

The Washington DC concert went well, with one exception -- the acoustics in my church auditorium. While the music sounded great, the voices were hard to understand because the room is too "live". I understood all the words but my family, friends and church members (the people I coerced into attending the show) couldn't really understand the words. Out in our church lobby where the sound was being broadcast, the concert was crystal clear, but in the auditorium it was difficult.

I took video of the concert -- in High Definition. I haven't looked at it yet. I hope I didn't butcher anything.

The sets that Michael Knott did were great. I loved the guys spirits -- they always touch me when I see them.

We had 122 at the concert and they said that was pretty good. I was disappointed in the attendance, however. I think next time I'll just have them in my house.

Thumb Up! RE: Washington, DC Show July 5

I was at the show, beagle. If not for the show you put together, I (and my friends) could not have seen them this summer (as the other shows were slightly out of reach). I was glad to be able to introduce some of my friends to the dogs' music at the show. Thanks for putting it together!

PS-Also, thanks for recommending that burger joint to us. It was fantastic!

RE: Washington, DC Show July 5

Oops - sorry about the above (re)post - meant to put a quote in there AND respond.

Beagle - thanks for posting about the DC show. I know what you mean about being spent. I didn't get an exact count, but I estimate that there were about 80-100 that came out for the NJ show. Though not quite a *profitable* effort for my church (not why I did it), it was very much worthwhile and a lot of fun. The folks that attended were definitely blessed by it (me included), so I know it turned out well. I wish I would have gotten video, but that detail got set aside for the many other things that needed to get done. I did get a recording from the board though (still having someone ferret out whether it's of a good enuf sound quality for listening).

I agree with what you said about the sets that Michael Knott did - that was amazing and added a great visual dimension to the show which otherwise would not have been there.

The fact that the guys really got into meeting and talking to the fans after the show without any kind of pretension was a big highlight for me and I'm sure for a lot of those who attended.

Thanks again for sharing...

Jim

Perhaps this is the kind of food that the Lost Dogs sing about in Bad Indigestion. Big Grin
