last night's show in duluth, ga

i didn't keep up with a set list, but they played all of my favorites! i heard the following tunes throughout the night: joel, wild ride, if you loved here, 3 legged dog, bad indigestion, honey suckle breeze, lust flesh & eyes, if you want to, to cover you & the coolest version of sun shine down!

the band was super nice and funny as usual. it was a real treat to see steve play percussion. he was very musical and tasteful with shakers and various hand drums. the sound of the overall mix was clear and not harsh. take your family!

island dreams reminds me of daydream, but it has a soothing character all its own. nice playing!!

a big thanks to mark and all nice people at duluth first umc for hosting such a friendly show. the food was good and your room looked awesome!

"Three Legged Dog" was done because my daughter requested it approx 50 times. They had not rehearsed it, but played it for her anyway. A tip o' the hat to the guys for that.

They also played Why Is the Devil Red?, Bullet Train, & Come Down Here. Probably a few more as well - I, too, did not keep a set list.

Nothing was played from "Island Dreams."

The schtik was there all night (Derri got a couple real good jabs in). Somebody from the audience said "Play the Song" during one extended tuning/talking session and Mike commented that that was the smartest thing that would be said the entire night.

I'm really glad Nathan came, as well as other faces I know from the few concerts I ever attend - Brook, Lisa & David L., David C., Jeff the Prof, & others whose names I don't know.

Nathan - good to see you again.

larryl, if you really want to see the guys on this tour you can always try to come to Asheville on July 17. It's only about 3 1/2 to 4 hours from Atlanta. Wink
